This post is sort of a memorial post to my grandfather, who recently passed away due to bladder cancer. I miss him terribly, Please do not comment I’ll post another thing where you can drop your comments there.

My Grandpa was an amazing and kind man, he served his country in the navy then served his state of Southern California as a firefighter for 30+ years. He loved music, cracking silly jokes, and talking for hours on end. I miss his voice, his jokes, his music. I love you Grandpa, and I’ll miss you forever ♥️
But then again, money was also really tight, and we could barely afford for my dad to go, but I wish I pushed harder. I miss my Grandpa, so much. Some days I’m fine but as I’m typing this I’m crying from grief. I knew— we all knew— he was dying, I already had mourned, but it still hurt terribly when my dad got that call
I remember his last words to me, they were “See you on the other side.” Those hurt terribly. My last birthday I saw him he bought me an ice cream sundae. Now, I’ll never look at a sundae the same way I did six months ago. I regret not begging and throwing the rest of my life away to be able to see him that last time
