Jane was covered up her shock and nervousness with a smile. She barely knew Dr. Drake. She felt weak and kept messing up the dance but Dr. Drake noticed and kept leading her along and guiding her through the dance. After the dance concluded he took outside to catch her breath. “Are you in good health Jane?” Jane gave a weak smile, “I’m not used to so much attention. I confess these people are intimidating Dr. Drake.” He answered, “firstly, address me as Henry, please. And those people in there should be more intimidated by you and your skill with the bow.” This caused Jane’s lips to curve into a small smile. “Is your dog okay that ran into my arrow?” Henry answered, “yes it’s only his paw. He was running around as usual as soon as we got home. I don’t even know why I carried him.” They shared a few giggles and Jane already felt much relief. Henry was becoming more interesting to her.
