So part 2 of smudging tutorial! You have to smudge perpendicular to your shading. And you have to follow the curve of the lines so that is the red arrow. I smudged one wing for reference. (More instructions in comments)

The yellow arrow is what direction your shading is going. The blue is what direction you smudge according to the direction of your shading. Please ask questions because this probably sounds really confusing
